We enter the holiday season this year even as we pass through very tumultuous times on this earth.
As Jesus taught, we must give unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, but give to God the things that are God’s. His words remind us not to be overly distracted by secular concerns, but instead to prioritize what truly matters, the heavenly blessings our Lord has bestowed upon us.
Christmas is the celebration of the gift of our loving Savior, who humbly came down from heaven to cleanse our sins and provide for our eternal salvation. Let us spend these holidays focused on God’s many blessings; our family, our friends, and to make peace and seek warmth with our neighbors.
As we can, let’s enrich ourselves by sharing our earthly gifts with those less fortunate around us, and always keep Christmas in our hearts.
