Micah has led the way in pushing for increased rigor in our schools by advocating for additional IB programs and vocational training opportunities. He has been a strong advocate for expanded childcare programs, increased technology funding, career counseling for student-athletes, and a safe learning environment for all students and teachers. Under Micah’s leadership, the district has:

Created a new Cosmetology CTE program (Adult program starting fall 2024)

Improved Safety and Wellbeing for All

Increased Leadership Transparency and Accountability

Lowered the Expulsion Rate for Black Students

Created Career Pathways and Increased Vocational Training

Invested in School and Facility Upgrades

Increased Graduation Rates

Provided Every Student with a Chromebook
