Sacramento – Natomas Unified School Board candidate Micah Grant today announced the endorsement of Elk Grove Mayor Gary Davis.

“Micah has the right attitude, unique experience, and can see the big picture,” said Davis. “There’s no doubt that Micah’s number one priority as a board member will be Natomas school children.”

Davis has served on the Elk Grove City Council for nearly a decade and became the city’s first elected mayor in 2012. Davis also served on the Natomas Unified School Board of Trustees from 2000 to 2004, including a turn as Board President. During his tenure with Natomas Unified, Davis focused on lowering class size and preparing students for life outside the classroom.  Davis was member of the Natomas Community Association as well.

“Mayor Davis has done great work advocating for youth in the Greater Sacramento area and for his community,” said Grant. “I look forward to partnering with elected leaders in the Sacramento area to make sure every student in Natomas has access to great opportunities.”
